New features & changes released with One UI 5.1
With this latest update, the camera and gallery app have received a few changes and additions in the Galaxy F23. You can now change the color tone of your selfies with the Effect button at top of the screen. Also, users can now search for more than one person or subject at the same time in the gallery. Along with that, you can also search for people by just tapping on their faces rather than tagging their names. You can also create a shared family album in which you will get up to 5GB of storage for each family member (up to 6 people). The gallery will be recommending you add the pictures to an album by recognizing the face of selected members.
The users will now be able to minimize or maximize an app without going to the options menu, just drag one of the corners. Users can also access the most used apps in a split screen.
The new update allows you to set a different wallpaper based on your current activity like for work, exercising, and more. New actions let you control Quick Share and Touch sensitivity, and change your ringtone or font style. You can check weather alerts, summaries, and sunrise/sunset times at the top of the weather app. Also, the temperature graph now uses colors to show the temperature changes. An hourly precipitation graph shows how much precipitation has fallen at different times. Along with this a brief summary of current weather conditions appears on the weather widget.
The other improvement is that if you are browsing the web on one Galaxy device and later open the Internet on another Galaxy device signed in to the same Samsung account, a button will appear that allows you to open the last webpage visited. Even the searches now include bookmark folders and tab groups.
The additional changes include –a new battery widget that allows checking the battery level of your devices (Galaxy Buds, watch, and more supported devices) right from the home screen. While signed in to your Samsung account you will receive suggestions at top of the Settings screen to share, and connect across Galaxy devices. You can now change the folder where screenshots and screen recordings are saved.
After the software update, a few apps may be updated to the latest version like – Samsung Notes Add-ons, Samsung Global Goals, Samsung Kids, Samsung Internet, Samsung Health, SmarThings, Samsung Members, Samsung Wallet, Samsung TV Plus, Calculator, and Voice recorder.
