• This will be Michigan State’s final of 22 games played in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge since 1999 after ESPN announced this week that the series would end following this season.

• Senior forward Nate Laszewski is averaging a team-best 18.2 points per game for Notre Dame, double his scoring average from last year. He’s one of five Irish players averaging double figures scoring.

• Michigan State senior forward Malik Hall will miss his fourth straight game due to a foot injury. Sophomore guard Jaden Akins (foot) is doubtful for the game.

• Michigan State has won four of the last five matchups in the series vs. Notre Dameand the last two: in 2020 and in 2017, when both teams were in the top five. The two teams have played 97 times in their histories.

• Notre Dame is 19-1 at Purcell Pavilion over the last two seasons.
